Jane Whittlesey

A classically trained fine artist, Jane has worked mainly in oils for about 15 years. She specializes in impressionist style canvases, featuring still lifes, figures, pet and animal portraits, and the breathtaking scenery of her home state of Colorado. Her work is infused with a rich variety of texture, color and elements which are bound to surprise and delight the viewer with each new piece they encounter.

Jane describes herself as an ardent student. She is member of the Art Students League of Denver, Plein Air Painters Colorado, American Impressionist Society, East Boulder County Artists Alliance, and serves on the board of the Louisville Art Association. She currently resides in Boulder County, where she teaches art, studies and exhibits with area artists in Louisville at Art Underground and at pARTiculars Gallery in Lafayette.
