Joellen Domenico

Growing up on a small farm located on the front range of the Colorado Rockies, Joellen spent her childhood caring for farm animals, riding horses, and playing with cats and dogs. She was most intrigued by catching glimpses of native wildlife. She began drawing horses at a very young age and then started carving and working in clay.

Jo attended CU at Boulder, studying fine arts and French linguistics. She currently operates her own graphic design company and also does sculpture works in bronze and combinations of bronze and stone. Most of her work centers around her love for animals, but she also finds great beauty in the human figure. "My desire is not only to create form, musculature, and movement, but more importantly to capture the true essence, beauty and magnificence of each creature."
